The fjord is in the heart of Connemara which forms a natural border between counties Galway and Mayo. It is 16 kilometres long and, in the centre, it is over 45 metres deep. </p><p style="font-size:14px;line-height:1.6;color:#57646f;margin-top:0.5em;margin-bottom:0.5em">During this sea kayaking session in Connemara, you’ll see this beautiful coastline from a whole new perspective. The northern shore boasts spectacular views of Mweelrea Mountain; Connacht’s highest mountain, rising to 814 metres, while to the south are the Maumturk Mountains and the Twelve Bens. </p><p style="font-size:14px;line-height:1.6;color:#57646f;margin-top:0.5em;margin-bottom:0.5em">We offer a session of flat water kayaking to give you the basic techniques. You can choose from a sit-on-top kayak (perfect for those who may be a little nervous), or the traditional closed cockpit version.
