Secrets of Bremen Self-Guided Scavenger Hunt & Walking Tour

Secrets of Bremen opens on the Markt in front of the Bremen Town Hall and turns the old centre into a self-guided walking tour. The route takes in the St. Petri Dom beside it and heads down Böttcherstraße a moment later. At each of those stops the game gives you something to read about the place you have reached. Along the way it plays like a scavenger hunt through Bremen, with something to find at every stop.

It is built for couples, families, groups of friends and colleagues, and works fine on your own. One ticket covers a team of one to four sharing a single phone, and larger parties buy extra tickets and split into teams. No guide leads the way and there is no departure to be on time for, so the walk through Bremen goes at your pace.

Between the points you get puzzles, riddles and photo tasks that pick the next leg of the route. Some ask you to look closely at a gable or an inscription, others to take a photograph from a certain spot. The Bremen Town Musicians is one of the stops the game sends you to, and it explains what you are looking at.

With several teams out at once it becomes a contest, and everyone's score ends up on the same leaderboard, which is why companies use it for team-building. You can pause for lunch and carry on later. By the end you will know the middle of Bremen a great deal better.
