In Berlin the hunt begins on Alexanderplatz, with the noise of the square behind you, and drops almost immediately into the older streets to the south. The route leads past the Rotes Rathaus, around the Nikolaikirche and along the lawns of the Marx-Engels-Forum. Played entirely outdoors, it works like an escape game stretched across a district instead of a room.

Berlin is large, but this route stays inside one walkable corner of it, so families, friends, couples and colleagues can all handle the distance. Two to five players share one phone as a team, and each of them takes a character whose role unlocks a different part of the mission. Groups larger than that split into several teams and run in parallel. There is no guide, and the starting moment is yours to pick.

Magnus has the stolen formulas and a considerable head start. Cracking codes, untangling riddles and setting up photo tasks moves your team between the Ephraim-Palais and the Knoblauchhaus in the Nikolaiviertel, then out towards the Lustgarten. Roles are divided from the beginning, so the player reading the map is rarely the player who solves the cipher.

Two teams playing at once turns it into a race, and the shared problem solving is what makes it work for team building. Pause at a bakery, then take up the trail again. Berlin absorbs the interruption without complaint.
