1 / 6Bremen Self-Guided Detective Murder Mystery Game
About this activity
Solve a Sherlock Holmes-themed murder mystery while exploring Bremen's streets in this self-guided mobile game. Using the Loquiz app, you'll hunt for clues, crack puzzles, and unravel a crime story at your own pace—blending detective work with sightseeing across the city.
The trail opens Am Markt in Bremen, between the Bremer Rathaus and Bremen Cathedral, a few steps from the Bremer Stadtmusikanten. From the square it runs out into the lanes of the old town and on towards the river. This is a murder mystery walking tour you run at your own pace, set in the centre of Bremen.
The old centre is flat and small enough to cross on foot without effort, so the walking between clues stays short. Couples, colleagues, groups of friends and families with children all find it easy going, and it is no obstacle to playing solo. Up to four people make a team, working from a single phone, while larger groups split into more teams. There is no guide and no fixed start time to work around.
How to play
The case in Bremen opens once you have done four things.
- Book the City Game
- Check the instructions email
- Download the Loquiz app
- Start playing whenever you like
The case is the murder of Balthasar. You decode messages, take photographs at the points the game marks, and compare the accounts of digital characters who have reason to shade the truth. Böttcherstraße and its brick facades belong to the route, and one by one the suspects drop away as the puzzles come out right.
Once two or more teams are playing it turns into a race, and that is what makes it a teambuilding activity as well as an outing. Stop for a break, take up the trail again, and close the case in Bremen when it suits you.
