We've carefully curated this selection of activities to ensure you have an adventure-filled holiday during your time in Rovaniemi!

Day 1: Snowmobile experience, husky and reindeer farm visit and search for northern lights!

Your Rovaniemi adventure begins on Day 1 with a pickup from your meeting with your guide at one of our offices in Santa Claus Village or in the center of Rovaniemi. Our guides will provide winter clothing and snowmobile training before taking off on a 1 hour long snowmobile adventure through Arctic Circle forests. After the snowmobile journey, meet the huskies and reindeers at Reindeer Manor, located about 20-minutes drive away from the center of Rovaniemi, where you can enjoy a 500m ride on your own reindeer sledge and receive a reindeer sledge driver’s license. Next, make your way to the Alaskan Huskies and experience them in action on a 500m long sleigh ride. Listen to the local reindeer herders as they tell you more about the herding lifestyle and how it is to be a reindeer herder in the 21st century.

Later in the evening, set out on a 2-hour quest for the Northern Lights. Your guide will explore the Arctic Circle area with you, away from the city lights. At the end of the tour you will return to Rovaniemi for a well-deserved rest.

Day 2: Meet the arctic animals!

On the morning of your second day your guides will pick you up from Rovaniemi and take you on a journey to Ranua village, where you'll visit the unique Ranua Wildlife Park, the northernmost zoo in Finland. Home to over 50 arctic species, including polar bears, this wildlife park provides the perfect opportunity to get to know the local fauna of the region. The park tour will last approximately 2 hours, with free time available for lunch if needed. Finally, you'll be transferred back to Rovaniemi
