Snowshoe Trip in the Wilderness

Put on your snowshoes and get ready for a relaxing walk into the wilderness! This tour will allow you to head deep into Arctic nature and discover a bit more of the secrets of Lapland. With your professional guide, you will snowshoe through old forests and up hills, looking for wildlife and footprints left in the snow. You may have the chance of seeing tracks made by wolves, lynx, wolverines, moose, reindeer, weasels, Arctic hares and other Arctic animals.

The tour will be adapted to the level of the group so that it is suitable for everyone, from the very beginners to more experienced hikers. As you explore the white scenery, you will certainly feel at peace in Lapland.

Enjoy this local experience in the middle of Arctic wilderness

Refreshments and typical Finnish campfire snacks will be provided halfway, as your guide will light a fire to keep you warm. This is a great opportunity for your guide to show you how to build a fire using traditional methods. No need for matches or a lighter, your guide will use flint & steel and natural materials you can find in the nature that surrounds you (we can do this in conditions as cold as -30°C). This break around the open fire will be also the perfect moment for your guide to answer your questions about Lapland and life in the Arctic.

In all our activities, our groups are limited to 8 people maximum. It is very important for us to provide you with the best experience possible, and avoid mass tourism. This way, your guide will know you better and will be able to address all your needs and answer your questions. As we usually say – the smaller the group, the bigger the experience!
