About this activity

A 4-day immersive camping safari from Arusha covering three of Tanzania's most biodiverse ecosystems—Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater—in a specially equipped 4×4 vehicle with pop-up roof for optimal wildlife viewing. This expedition balances game drives with cultural encounters and overnight camps, delivering intimate access to Africa's iconic landscapes and wildlife.

This 4 days safari will start from Arusha and display some of Tanzania's best safaris, that will take place in a 4x4 wheeled vehicle with pop-up roof. The vehicle is driven safely by a driver/ guide who will take you around Lake Manyara, Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater  which is known as the Garden of Eden in terms of wildlife. Here you can expect to see hot springs, the maasai community and of course various animal species.

Highlights

  • Game drives through Lake Manyara's tree-climbing lions and flamingo-lined shores
  • Serengeti's vast plains and year-round wildlife migrations
  • Ngorongoro Crater—a natural amphitheatre with concentrated wildlife populations
  • Encounters with Maasai communities and traditional pastoralist culture
  • Hot springs and geothermal features in the Rift Valley
  • Pop-up roof 4×4 vehicle for unobstructed photography and wildlife observation

Insider tips

  • Peak game viewing occurs during early morning and late afternoon drives; mid-day is ideal for rest and wildlife observation from camp
  • Serengeti's wildlife movements are seasonal—confirm migration timing when booking to maximise sightings
  • Bring binoculars and a telephoto lens; wildlife often remains distant, and preparation elevates the experience
  • Maasai community visits are typically conducted respectfully through your guide; ask questions about pastoralist practices and traditions

Good to know

  • Accommodation is camping-based; bring warm layers for cool nights at higher elevations (Ngorongoro area)
  • Meals and park fees are typically included; confirm specifics at booking
  • Road conditions are unpaved; expect dust and rough terrain—motion sickness tablets recommended
  • Sun protection (SPF 50+, hat, sunglasses) is essential due to equatorial exposure and reflection from plains
  • Malaria prophylaxis is recommended; consult your doctor before travel
