The "Museum of battle glory" in town of Yambol was opened on May 9, 2013, together with the restoration of the portal-monument of 29th Infantry Regiment of Yambol. This is the first municipal specialized museum in the country. The museum aims to preserve the memory and pay tribute to all soldiers from the city and the region in the period after Liberation of Bulgaria to nowadays.
The museum is located in the former pioneer barracks on an area of 9 acres provided by the Ministry of Defense and includes an open-air museum and 2 exhibition halls.
Visit in spring (April–May) or autumn (September–October) when temperatures are mild and ideal for walking expansive outdoor exhibits. Early morning tours avoid midday heat and crowds.
