Description
Torres del Paine National Park encompasses beautiful landscapes surrounded by mountains, glaciers, lakes and rivers in southern Chilean Patagonia. In this full day excursion from El Calafate, you will have the possibility to visit the park without having to spend the night there.
We will pick you up from your hotel in El Calafate and once we get to Torres del Paine, you will have the option to choose a bus or 4x4 tour to see the highlights of the park such as he Salto Grande Waterfall, Cuernos del Paine, Nordenskjold Lake and Sarmiento Lake.
A boxed lunch, bottled water, and drop off back at your El Calafate hotel are all included in the price.
Itinerary
El Calafate
At 6:45 AM, our guide will pick you up from your hotel located in El Calafate. We will travel a total of 700 km and this trip to the park will take 3.5 hours one way and 3.5 hours back plus border customs.
Cancha Carrera Border Crossing
Crossing the Patagonian Steppe from North to South, we will arrive at the border pass of Cancha Carrera (2,20 hours of traveling) from where we start visiting the beautiful South of Chile until we get into Torres del Paine National Park.
Torres del Paine National Park
Once we arrive at Torres del Paine National Park, we will offer you two options: visit by bus or go trekking and riding in 4x4 vehicles. Among the possible centres of attraction and lookouts than can be visited, we will be able to find:
- Sarmiento de Gamboa Lake (lookout)
- Amarga Lagoon
- Paine River waterfalls
- Panoramic stop with descent of 15 minutes in Superior Viewpoint of Nordenskjold Lake (Panoramic of the Horns)
- Salto Grande (50 minute walk)
And if the weather permitting, we will continue with the longest walk of 1 hour more towards Lake Nordenskjold to appreciate the Cuernos del Paine very closely and Pehoé Lake. Then, at midday you will enjoy a picnic in the mountain. The estimated time touring inside the Park is 6 hours.
Return to El Calafate
We will start our return to El Calafate around 5-6 PM, arriving around 22 pm. This is the end of the tour.
