About this activity

Navigate remote glacial inlets of Lake Argentino to reach the rarely visited Mayo Arm, where two guided forest walks reveal verdant Patagonian woodland, cascading waterfalls, and hanging glaciers inaccessible to most park visitors. This 10-hour expedition combines boat exploration with low-difficulty hiking, culminating in close views of the iconic Perito Moreno Glacier.

Our navigation will take you to know one of the most beautiful places in Los Glaciares National Park, which only a few people have the privilege of accessing: the May Sine of Lake Argentino.
The Seno Mayo (or Brazo Mayo), is one of the wettest sectors of the National Park, that is why the vegetation that can be seen during the two walks (which we will do in the Patagonian Andean forest) is totally different from the one that observes in other places Park.
The "Mayo Spirit Trek" is the perfect combination of hiking in the forest, overlooking waterfalls, rivers, hanging glaciers and visiting the Perito Moreno glacier (navigation + walkways). Suitable for all audiences, with low difficulty walks, it makes our passengers happy with our excursion.

Highlights

  • Boat access to the exclusive Mayo Arm (Seno Mayo), one of Los Glaciares' wettest and most vegetated sectors
  • Two guided forest walks through pristine Patagonian Andean woodland with waterfall and river vistas
  • Hanging glaciers and valley views from elevated forest trails
  • Included navigation to Perito Moreno Glacier with walkway access
  • Low-difficulty terrain suitable for mixed fitness levels

Insider tips

  • The Mayo Arm's higher rainfall supports unique lush forest vegetation rarely seen elsewhere in the park—bring a camera for distinctive green landscapes
  • Morning departures offer the clearest glacier views and best lighting for photography before afternoon cloud cover
  • Wear waterproof layers and sturdy walking shoes; forest paths can be muddy even on dry days due to seepage from steep terrain

Good to know

  • Total duration is 10 hours including travel and both walks; plan for an early start and full-day commitment
  • All walks are low difficulty and paced for mixed abilities; no climbing or technical skills required
  • Bring sun protection, water, and snacks; limited facilities on the boat
  • Waterproof jacket and closed-toe hiking boots are essential
