About this activity
Explore Toledo's masterpieces on a curated 5.5-hour private tour from Madrid, featuring the Cathedral—Spain's Gothic crown jewel—alongside El Greco's most celebrated canvas and two historic places of worship that embody the city's medieval multicultural heritage.
We start with a panoramic walking tour of Toledo, into the old quarter to visit the main square and the inside of the impressive Primate Cathedral.
The Cathedral is one of the most impressive monuments of Toledo and unique in Spain, magnum opus of the Gothic style in Spain. It is an indispensable visit to the heart of Toledo. A spectacular piece of Spanish architecture and art. We will continue the tour towards the old Palace of Justice and the City Hall.
We will continue our visit through the old Jewish quarter with its narrow streets to visit the Church of St. Tomé, with the very famous painting of El Greco "El entierro del Conde Orgaz". Then we visit the old Synagogue of St. Maria la Blanca, which remains as a symbol of the coexistence of the "Three Cultures".
We will also visit a typical factory of Damasquino, the well-known handicraft art of Toledo.
