About this activity

Combine a scenic open-air bus safari through Side's cultural and natural landmarks with a 2.5-hour boat cruise on emerald-green lake waters, all in one full day. This curated itinerary hits ancient ruins, waterfalls, and swimming spots while keeping logistics simple with hotel pickup and lunch included.

This tour is a great combination of two programs: Cabrio Bus Safari and Green Lake boat trip. If you have short time on holidays join this tour to discover the best places that shaped Side. You will get an exciting half-day journey on a specially designed Cabrio bus and then 2.5 hours stunning cruise around the Green Lake.

Your tour will begin as you are picked up by bus from your hotel. From here your first stop will be to the Kulliye Mosque, where your guide will provide you with some brief information about the history of Islam.  You will take a short break to taste traditional Turkish gozleme, before driving to the Seleukia Ancient Roman City where your guide will run you through some information on the history of this setting.

You will later drive to Oymapınar Dam, which has views over both Green Canyon and Green Lake.  Before lunch, enjoy a boat trip in the Green Lake, during which you can swim.

Stop for a delicious lunch at Green Lake, taking 1-2 hours to relax.  You will later stop at the Manavgat Waterfall for about 30 minutes, where you will have the option to enter.

Finally, you will visit an orange garden to taste fresh orange and pomegranate juice before being returned back to your hotel at around 5:00PM.

Highlights

  • Open-air Cabrio bus ride through Side's historic region with expert commentary
  • 2.5-hour Green Lake boat cruise with swimming opportunity in pristine waters
  • Seleukia Ancient Roman City exploration and Kulliye Mosque cultural stops
  • Oymapınar Dam viewpoint overlooking Green Canyon and Green Lake
  • Manavgat Waterfall optional entry and freshly squeezed citrus tasting at local orange garden
  • Traditional Turkish gözleme snack and included lakeside lunch

Insider tips

  • Bring swimwear and a towel under your clothes—the lake water is refreshingly cold even in summer, making a dip genuinely refreshing rather than optional
  • The Manavgat Waterfall stop is brief (30 mins); decide in advance if you want to pay extra to enter, as queues can form during peak season
  • Sit on the right side of the Cabrio bus during morning departure for better light and canyon views; swap sides on the return journey
  • The orange garden stop offers fresh juice, but bring cash (Turkish Lira) as card payments aren't always accepted at small vendors

Good to know

  • Duration is approximately 8 hours door-to-door; departure typically early morning with return around 5:00 PM
  • Hotel pickup and drop-off included from Side accommodations
  • Lunch provided at Green Lake (1–2 hours); dietary requirements should be communicated in advance
  • Wear sun protection (hat, sunscreen) for the open-air bus and boat segments
  • Accessible primarily for mobile travellers; ancient sites and boat boarding involve uneven terrain and steps

Who it's for

First-time visitors to Side looking for a convenient all-in-one cultural and nature overviewFamilies wanting a mix of activities (swimming, snacks, sightseeing) without multiple logisticsActive adults who prefer guided bus and boat tours over self-driven explorationPhotographers interested in canyon landscapes and heritage sites

Best time to visit

Visit April–May or September–October for warm lake temperatures, manageable crowds, and clearer skies ideal for photography. Summer (June–August) offers the most reliable weather but peak tourism means larger groups and longer waits at waterfall entry points.
