About this activity

Spend a full day on the Manavgat River with swimming, lunch, and local market exploration in Side. This combination tour blends nature, culture, and leisure—starting with a scenic boat journey to where the river meets the Mediterranean, followed by time at Turkey's lively public bazaar and optional waterfall visits.

Our tour, which will start with a wonderful boat tour on the Manavgat river, will give a swimming break where the river meets the sea. This is a very interesting place with a river on one side and the sea on the other. There is a long and wonderful beach here. Here you can swim in the ice-cold river or in the sea. Here we will have our lunch on the boat. And then we will return to Manavgat for a visit to the Manavgat big public bazaar.

Before the Manavgat big public bazaar, our guests can register to the tour guide for their visit to the Manavgat waterfall (transfer and entrance ticket 2€ per person). Manavgat waterfall is about 8 km north of the town. We will return to the hotels after about 3 hours of free time in the big public bazaar of Manavgat. Swim in the sea and the river, shop in the public bazaar, see Manavgat waterfalls, and enjoy the day!

Highlights

  • Boat cruise down the Manavgat River to the river-sea confluence
  • Dual-element swimming: cool river water and warm Mediterranean sea
  • Lunch served onboard with river views
  • 3 hours free time at Manavgat's main public bazaar for shopping and exploration
  • Optional add-on: visit Manavgat Waterfall (8 km inland, small extra fee)

Insider tips

  • Bring a light waterproof bag for valuables during swimming; the bazaar area can get crowded mid-afternoon
  • The river water is noticeably colder than the sea—a refreshing contrast worth experiencing both
  • Bazaar haggling is expected and welcomed; start at 50% of asking price for souvenirs
  • Wear a rash guard or UV shirt if you burn easily—boat shade is limited

Good to know

  • 7-hour total duration includes boat, swimming stops, lunch, and bazaar time; waterfall visit adds extra travel time if selected
  • Bring swimwear, towel, sunscreen, and comfortable walking shoes for bazaar exploring
  • Hotel pickup and drop-off typically included (confirm with operator at booking)
  • Waterfall add-on costs approximately €2 per person for transfer and entry; book with tour guide on the day
