About this activity

Spend a full day sailing along Turkey's Mediterranean coast aboard a traditional wooden yacht, combining leisurely swimming stops at Paradise and Cleopatra bays with an afternoon exploring the 7th-century BC ruins of Phaselis. This scenic boat journey showcases the Turkish Riviera's dramatic coastline—pirate caves, pine-forested shores, and mountain backdrops—while offering both active discovery and pure relaxation.

On this full-day trip you’ll take in the sights of the nearby resort of Kemer en route to the ancient city of Phaselis. You’ll be picked up at your hotel in Antalya and taken to Kemer Marina to board a wooden yacht for a cruise along the coastline.  While sailing on the sparkling azure sea you can relax and enjoy the sea breeze, the soothing sun, and the stunning views around you. The coastline of Kemer is one of the most scenic coasts on the Turkish Riviera. See pirate caves and golden beaches, and have spectacular mountain views.  On the way to Phaselis, you’ll stop for a swim in both Paradise and Cleopatra bays. Whenever you like you can sunbathe on the top deck of the boat, or stay in the shade if you prefer. The lower deck has wooden tables and benches, where a delicious lunch will be served.  When you arrive in Phaselis Bay, there will be time to explore the ruins of the ancient city of Phaselis. The city was founded in the 7th century BC and became an important seaport. The historic site is bordered by golden sandy beaches and pine forests.  Take a walk along the main street of this ancient port city and see ruined city walls, houses, baths, and an amphitheater.  Head back to the boat for the return trip. Enjoy the picturesque islands of the Mediterranean and the great view of Tahtali Mountain while sailing back to Kemer. From the Kemer Marina, you’ll be transferred to Antalya by land and dropped off at your hotel.

Highlights

  • Swim in crystalline Paradise and Cleopatra bays during dedicated stops
  • Explore ancient Phaselis ruins: amphitheater, city walls, Roman baths, and the original harbor
  • Sail past dramatic coastal landmarks including pirate caves and golden beaches
  • Mountain views of Tahtali and Mediterranean islands from the boat
  • Lunch served aboard the yacht on a shaded lower deck
  • Hotel pickup and drop-off from Antalya included

Insider tips

  • Arrive early at your hotel to secure a spot on the upper deck—it fills quickly and offers the best sun and views
  • Bring reef-safe sunscreen and reapply after each swim; the Mediterranean sun reflects intensely off the water
  • The water at both bays is deepest near the boat; the shallows closer to shore are ideal for less confident swimmers
  • Wear water shoes or sandals for exploring Phaselis ruins; rocky terrain and uneven ancient stonework require sturdy footwear

Good to know

  • Bring a swimsuit, towel, and light cover-up; sunscreen and sunglasses are essential
  • The boat has shaded areas below deck for those seeking relief from sun; lounging on the upper deck is optional
  • Hotel transfer times vary; you'll receive pickup details the day before—allow flexibility for traffic in Antalya
  • Lunch is included and served aboard; dietary restrictions should be noted at booking if possible
  • The tour operates year-round; summer months can be very crowded at swimming stops
