About this activity

Combine two of the Netherlands' most iconic sights—the spectacular Keukenhof tulip gardens and the historic Zaanse Schans windmill village—in a single 8-hour small-group tour. With a maximum of 16 guests, you'll enjoy personalised guiding and skip-the-line entry to Keukenhof, plus hands-on visits to a traditional clog workshop and working cheese farm.

Travel in a small group, 16 guests maximum, to ensure personal attention from your guide and your driver. You will visit a wooden shoe workshop for a demonstration of clog making, a cheese farm for an explanation of cheese making and a working Industrial windmill.

At Keukenhof, skip the line and walk straight through the entrance as entrance tickets are given to you by the driver. Afterwards, you will be brought back to Amsterdam.

Our 9am tour starts with a visit to Keukenhof.

Highlights

  • Skip-the-line entry to Keukenhof with pre-included tickets
  • Visit a traditional wooden clog workshop with live demonstration
  • Tour a working cheese farm and learn Dutch cheese-making techniques
  • Explore Zaanse Schans' 18th-century windmills in operation
  • Small group of max 16 guests for more personalised attention
  • Round-trip transport from Amsterdam included

Insider tips

  • Start early (9am departure) to catch Keukenhof when crowds are lightest and light is best for photos
  • Wear comfortable walking shoes; Zaanse Schans involves uneven historic terrain and the windmill interiors have narrow stairs
  • Bring a camera for the windmills—the best angles are from the village's small bridges and along the water's edge

Good to know

  • Maximum group size is 16 people, ensuring a more intimate experience than large coach tours
  • Entrance tickets to Keukenhof are provided by your driver—no separate ticket purchase needed
  • Tour duration is 8 hours total; plan for about 3–4 hours at Keukenhof and 2–3 hours at Zaanse Schans
  • Hotel pickup and drop-off in Amsterdam are typically included; confirm your meeting point when booking
