Insider tips

  • Book early morning departures to beat crowds at Sintra's palace viewpoints and enjoy softer light for photos.
  • Wear comfortable walking shoes; palace grounds and clifftop paths involve uneven terrain and modest elevation changes.
  • Stop for lunch in Cascais or Colares village rather than relying on palace cafés — better local food and value.
  • Check palace opening hours before booking; some sites have seasonal closures or restricted visiting windows.

Good to know

  • Monument entrance fees and meals are not included in the tour price — budget EUR 30–50 for palace tickets.
  • Private group size is 1–4 persons; larger parties require a separate per-person rate tour.
  • Pick-up and drop-off available from Sintra, Cascais, Oeiras, or Lisbon — confirm location at booking.
  • Tour duration is approximately 7 hours; plan for a full-day commitment including travel time.
  • Bring water, sunscreen, and a light jacket; coastal winds at Cabo da Roca can be strong year-round.
