Private guided tour of Zhaoqing

Take a break from the bustling metropolis of Guangzhou and set off in search of some nature in Zhaoqing. This private tour takes you far enough outside the city to encounter mountains, waterfalls, and forests—while still getting you back in time for dinner.

Your tour beings at your Guangzhou hotel, where your private guide picks you up for your journey into Zhaoqing. It takes about 2.5 hours to get there by car. Head west, crossing over multiple points along the Xi River, and admire cutting-edge buildings throughout the city of Foshan.

Upon reaching Zhaoqing, you’re taken to Dinghu Mountain Nature Reserve, one of the first conservation areas to be named a UNESCO International Man and Biosphere Reserve. With its turquoise waters, cascading falls, and some of the lushest flora you may ever see, it’s no surprise that it’s known as a living museum.

Climb up the mountain, taking your time to smell fragrant flowers and listen to the sounds of the reserve’s nearly 200 species of birds. Also be on the lookout for any of the 38 other species of native animals, including leopards, pythons, and serows.

There are plenty more sights to behold while visiting the reserve: serene gorges, impressive caves, and ancient overgrown trees. If there’s anything to be sure you see before leaving, it’s the Qingyun Temple, a sacred Buddhist site that’s been visited for thousands of years.

Afterwards you will visit the well-known Seven Star Crags where there are seven Karst hills looking like seven stars spreading on the water. 

Later you will be transferred back to your Guangzhou hotel where the trip concludes.
