Insider tips
- ★Book an evening paddle to enjoy golden-hour light and cooler temperatures while avoiding peak mosquito activity near the shoreline.
- ★Request a canoe if you're going as a pair or small group—it's more stable for paddling newcomers than kayaks.
- ★Contact the operator directly via email after booking to confirm exact departure time and weather-dependent adjustments.
- ★The mid-lake setting naturally reduces insect exposure compared to sheltered bays, so don't let summer bugs deter you from visiting.
