1 / 6Floating Sauna and Swimming in the Ounasjoki River, 3 Hours
About this activity
Immerse yourself in authentic Finnish wellness culture by bathing in a traditional floating sauna moored on the Ounasjoki River, then plunge into the pristine Arctic waters for an invigorating contrast. This 3-hour experience captures the essence of Scandinavian nature rituals, guided by local experts who share deep knowledge of the region's landscape and traditions.
You’ll get a chance to enjoy the health benefits and the heat of a floating sauna on the Ounasjoki river. While bathing in the sauna, you may cool down by hopping into the fresh river. The floating sauna is a real experience in Finnish river nature.
An evening snack and refreshments will be served in a goahti hut ashore.
To the relief of shy ones, wearing a swimsuit or a towel is allowed in the sauna. Towels for the sauna are provided by us.
We have only local guides with a real knowledge of the arctic nature, so the nature trip with us is a genuine experience.
Please note: This tour includes pick up and drop off service from designated pick up points. Simply select the pick up place of your preference from the list under the availability section and our driver will be on his way!
Please note: If you don't want to be picked up, you can meet us at Happy Fox Forest Farm.
