How difficult is the Kazbegi hike, and what's the terrain like?

Day 3's Kazbegi tour follows the Georgian Military Road with moderate walking and sightseeing; it's not a technical climb but involves uneven terrain and altitude (up to ~2,100 m). Fitness level should be fair to good. Bring layers, sturdy hiking boots, and sunscreen. Your guide will adjust pace to the group.

Are meals included beyond the Day 7 dinner?

No. Breakfasts may be included at some hotels; lunch and dinner are at your own expense, except for the traditional Georgian folklore dinner on Day 7. Your guide will recommend local restaurants at each stop.

What's the transport between cities like?

our guide Samir was brilliant and a stop the guide added on the fly was the highlight ... Did it on our first morning so it wasnt too busy. Ideal with kids (ours are 6 and 9), and 6 stops in about 3 hours, and used it for our summer trip. Would book again no question.
