About this activity

Immerse yourself in Chile's otherworldly Atacama Desert with a comprehensive 4-day package combining accommodation, expert-led tours, and meals. Explore lunar landscapes, high-altitude salt flats, geothermal geysers, and dramatic sunset viewpoints while based in the charming oasis town of San Pedro de Atacama.

We will be at the airport according to the time of the client's flight to do the transfer to the hotel. During the afternoon we will visit 3 important points. The Moon Valley Central Crater and finally the viewpoint of Ckari. We begin by doing a tour of the important points of our main destination we will visit the salt caves, the main dune, the amphitheater and the three Marías, salt caves, which is located in the middle of the Salt Mountain Range. Finally, we move to the Ckari viewpoint, to enjoy a beautifully colorful sunset and an aperitif. Duration: 4 hours

Second day we will be at the hotel 06:30am. Our first stop after one hour of travel is at the Miscanti and Miñiques Altiplano lakes located at 4200 m.a.s.l. Then we will pass by Piedras rojas which is a volcanic conglomerate formed from the oxidation of the iron present in that place, accompanying this is the Salar de Aguas Calientes. Duration 6 hours.

Third day our tour starts at 05:00 am (summer time) and 4:30 am (winter time) from your hotels in San Pedro de Atacama, with an approximate time of pick up of 30 min. We travel approximately 99 km to our first stop in El Tatio, which is located at an altitude of 4320 meters above sea level. We arrive at dawn to observe a great geothermal spectacle next to the volcanoes of the Andes.

This National Park is well known in the world for its incredible columns of steam and water of 7 and 8 meters high and the temperature can reach about 86 degrees Celsius, in which visitors will have the best option for photos in the Andean sunrise, this geyser field is the third in size on the planet. During the afternoon type 15.00pm we will go to the Thermal Pool located inside the park, where you can enjoy an entertaining bath with water from the same geysers and which are at a temperature of approximately 30 ° C. On the way back we pass through Machuca, a small town decorated with adobe houses where we can enjoy the local cuisine, such as a rich anticucho of llama meat and / or goat cheese empanadas with pisco sour. Duration: 7.30 hours 

The last day will be the transfer from the hotel to the airport el Loa in Calama.
