About this activity

A hands-on 3-hour painting workshop led by Maria Cruz Urquijo, a sculptor and painter with 25+ years of experience, held in her working atelier in Paraty's Historic Centre. You'll progress from foundational sketching through to a finished painting, guided by a practising artist who shares her creative process and artistic journey.

Experience has been carried out by artist Maria Cruz Urquijo, with more than 25 years of experience in painting and sculpture. Based in Paraty, she runs her atelier in the Historic Centre, showing her story through her artistic path.

The Art- Painting class is divided into 4 steps:

1 - Brief introduction to the art with sketching exercises, using the fingers or the pencils. Along with a pleasant discussion of the creative process.
2 - Choose format and material to start painting and get to work on your creation.
3 - Coffee break and discuss about production
4 - Finish details of the paiting
