An immersive 8-hour journey through Lima's layered past and vibrant food scene, blending colonial heritage with Peruvian gastronomy. You'll navigate working markets, historic plazas, and bohemian neighbourhoods while learning the craft of ceviche directly from a specialised chef and sampling iconic local dishes.
A full day to awaken our senses and go back to the times of the Lima Antigua. First we will visit a local market where we will taste and appreciate the local products that make the Peruvian food is delicious. Then we went to Chinatown, where we will experience the mixture of Chinese culture with Peruvian. We will make a tour of the Historic Center of Lima to go back a moment toward the majesty of the Lima Viceregal observing their main monuments and its elegant architecture. We will go to a renowned restaurant where the chef, specialized in ceviche, will allow us to enter into your kitchen and will share with us their secrets, doing a demonstration of how performs its ceviche. Lunch Marino. Then we will give a walk by Barranco, bohemian district of our capital and cradle of artists. There we visit several shops and a private collection of fine crafts brought from all corners of Peru. To close, we will visit a local restaurant where we will have the opportunity to try picarones, the famous traditional Peruvian dessert prepared with pumpkin and sweet potato. Thus, we completed a full day doing a tour of the historic center of Lima, a gastronomic tour and a shopping tour in the capital.
Visit during Peru's dry season (May–September) for pleasant weather and clearer skies. Mornings offer the most vibrant market activity and cooler temperatures for walking the Historic Center.
