About this activity

Solve a Sherlock Holmes–themed murder mystery while exploring Ibiza's streets at your own pace. This self-guided adventure combines detective puzzles, hidden clues, and plot twists into a 2-hour interactive game that turns the island into your crime-solving playground.

The Portal de ses Taules, the old gate into Dalt Vila, is where the case starts in Ibiza. From there the route climbs through the walled town past the Baluard de Sant Pere and the Museu d'Art Contemporani d'Eivissa towards the Catedral de Santa María de las Nieves at the top. It is a murder mystery walking tour set inside the fortifications.

The upper town is all ramps and steps, so this is the more physical kind of Ibiza afternoon and the views come with a climb. Families with children manage it, as do groups of friends, couples, colleagues and solo players. A team means up to four people sharing one phone, and a group larger than that buys more tickets and splits into teams. Nobody guides you, and there is no fixed hour to be at the gate.

How to play

Four steps take you from booking to the first clue at the gate.

  1. Book the City Game
  2. Check the instructions email
  3. Download the Loquiz app
  4. Start playing whenever you like

The case you take on is the murder of Balthasar. Codes need breaking, photographs need taking, and digital characters give statements that do not fit together. Near the Museo Arqueológico Ibiza and along the wall at the Baluarte de Santa Lucía the story starts to close, and a stop at the Museu Puget supplies the last missing piece.

Two or more teams on the same case makes it a race up the hill, which is why this works as a teambuilding activity as well as a day out. Stop in the shade, carry on when the heat drops, and finish the investigation inside the walls of Ibiza.
