Discover the cultural heart of the Dominican Republic on this half-day excursion from Punta Cana to Higuey, combining agricultural heritage, colonial architecture, and local markets. Our transport will pick you up at your hotel, you will start a wonderful journey of approximately one hour until you reach Higuey.
The first thing you will do is visit a tobacco and sugar cane plantation, we will explain the process of your harvest and preparation. You will visit a beautiful store of souvenirs, paintings and crafts made by the owners themselves.
Later we move to the basilica cathedral of higuey, you can enter to enjoy its beautiful architecture. We will then go to the higuey market where you can taste the delicious tropical fruits among other things.
You will have an incredible panoramic view of the San Dionisio church, which was the place where the Virgin of Altagracia made her appearance. Upon returning we will make a short stop at the beautiful and incredible Macao beach.
At the end, our transportation will take you back to your hotel.
