About this activity

Escape Budapest for a curated half-day immersion in Szentendre, Hungary's riverside artist hub, followed by a guided wine tasting and lunch featuring five regional Hungarian wines paired with local cuisine. This private tour combines cultural exploration with authentic food and wine education, ending with a scenic Danube river return during summer months.

Make the most of your day in a daytrip from Budapest! Take a memorable half day private Szentendre tour with a perfect guide and enjoy an afternoon wine tasting with lunch.

Within a half an hour drive from Budapest we reach this picturesque Artist’s Village which is also called the Southern gate of the Danube bend.

During a guided walk you will get to know the major sights of the city and enjoy a beautiful panoramic view from the hill in the center. After the half day private tour, on the second part of the program, enjoy a delicious lunch with wine tasting).

Visit a lovely tasting bar hop and learn about Hungarian wine from an expert sommelier. You will taste five delicious samples of Hungarian wine sourced direct from producers and learn everything about each wine and while enjoying your lunch. Hear all about Hungarian winemaking culture and the characteristics of wines from different regions.

Afterwards, in your free time, you will have the opportunity to go shopping or to visit one of the many museums and galleries of this charming little town.

To end this memorable day in the best way during the summer period (between the 1st of May and the 20th of September) we return to Budapest on the Danube by boat (not private).
