Old Kakopetria and UNESCO Agios Nicolaos tis Stegis with Optional Troodos Walk (Private Tour from Larnaca)
An exploration trip of the stone-built old quarter of Kakopetria village and of Unesco World Heritage Agios Nicolaos...

Walking tours cover on average 3-5 km and are the best way to discover hidden gems.

The walk is in Akamas peninsula, a pristine, almost untouched by man, rich in biodiversity area of Cyprus. Usually we start walking in Neo Chorio village and initially go through farmland west to the Smiyies picnic area. From there the route goes north (offers great views towards Lara coastline on the west coast of Akamas) and ascends (via Adonis trail) to the peak known as 'Moutti tis Sotiras' from where one enjoys unobstructed views of the north Akamas coast from Cape Arnaouti, the tip of Akamas, towards the north west to the Bay of Polis and all the way to Pomos in the north east. After a pause for a picnic and for enjoying the majestic view we walk to Baths of Aphrodite cave on the Aphrodite trail (the last stretch is on the coastal dirt road, near the cliff).

We can make other arrangements for shorter walks in the area if travellers prefer (eg. do the 7-km Aphrodite trail). We can also arrange to extend the walk to Blue Lagoon cove, an excellent place for swimming in our Cyprus or the adjacent Fontana Amoroza cove, or even a one-way coastal walk to Fontana Amoroza/Blue Lagoon with boat transportation - for a fee - in the opposite way) .
