About this activity

Spend five days exploring Ecuador's Galápagos islands with stays in luxury beachfront hotels on Santa Cruz and Isabela, combining guided wildlife encounters, snorkeling, and a day trip to an uninhabited island. This itinerary balances comfort with authentic nature immersion, offering close encounters with endemic species in one of the world's most biodiverse destinations.

This 5 day Luxe Galapagos Island Hopping program is full of relaxation, wildlife spotting and snorkeling. During the tour you will stay in luxury hotels and do the best tours available on the Galapagos islands. You will stay on two different islands; Santa Cruz and Isabela. You will see sea lions, giant tortoises, sharks, rays, blue footed boobies and if you’re lucky even more wildlife. From Santa Cruz you will do a one day tour where you will visit another uninhabited island. There are four islands that you can visit, which one you go that day depends on the availability. The islands are Bartolome, Santa Fe, South Plazas, or North Seymour.

Highlights

  • Luxury accommodation on two islands (Santa Cruz and Isabela)
  • Daily guided wildlife tours: giant tortoises, sea lions, blue-footed boobies, and sharks
  • Snorkeling in pristine waters with tropical fish and rays
  • Full-day excursion to uninhabited island (Bartolomé, Santa Fe, South Plaza, or North Seymour)
  • All inter-island flights included
  • Expert naturalist guides throughout

Insider tips

  • Book during shoulder season (May–June or September–October) for fewer crowds and lower prices while maintaining excellent wildlife visibility.
  • Bring reef-safe sunscreen and a rash guard for snorkeling—equatorial sun reflects off water intensely.
  • Request a naturalist guide fluent in your language when booking to maximize learning about endemic species.
  • Pack seasickness medication if prone; inter-island boat rides can be rough depending on sea conditions.

Good to know

  • Inter-island domestic flights are included; arrive in Ecuador with international flight arranged separately.
  • Snorkeling gear provided, but bring your own mask if you prefer a custom fit.
  • Itinerary includes four possible uninhabited islands; final choice depends on weather and wildlife activity on your travel dates.
  • Most tour activities involve walking on uneven volcanic terrain; moderate fitness recommended.
  • Galápagos National Park entrance fee (approximately USD 20 for foreign adults) typically not included.
