About this activity

A comprehensive 3-day introduction to Georgia's most iconic regions, combining Tbilisi's vibrant Old Town with the wine valleys of Kakheti and dramatic peaks of Kazbegi. This small-group tour covers ancient monasteries, local wine tastings, and mountain landscapes while handling all logistics from airport transfers.

Are you going for the first time in Georgia? You do not have to worry much! Just choose your favourite hotel.

We will arrange for an individual transfer from the airport and back. You will visit the Old Town Tbilisi, the wine region of Georgia - Kakheti and of course the majestic mountain - Kazbek.

In these three days, you will see ancient churches, unique nature, get acquainted with traditions, taste Georgian dishes and wine. You will fall in love with Georgia!

Highlights

  • Explore Tbilisi's Old Town with its narrow streets, sulfur baths, and historic architecture
  • Visit Georgia's premier wine region (Kakheti) with vineyard visits and local tastings
  • Trek to Gergeti Trinity Church with panoramic Caucasus Mountain views near Kazbegi
  • Tour ancient monasteries including Mtskheta and Svetitskhovloba Cathedral
  • Experience authentic Georgian cuisine and traditional hospitality

Insider tips

  • Book accommodation in Tbilisi's Vake or Old Town districts for best access to restaurants and nightlife
  • Request wine tastings at family-run estates in Kakheti rather than tourist-focused wineries for genuine local experiences
  • Start Kazbegi activities early (sunrise) to avoid afternoon clouds obscuring mountain views

Good to know

  • Airport transfers from Tbilisi included; confirm hotel location at booking for pickup logistics
  • Moderate hiking involved at Kazbegi (Gergeti Church trek); wear comfortable shoes and bring layers for mountain temperature swings
  • Georgian wine region requires drivers unfamiliar with local roads; guide navigation essential
  • Spring (April–May) and autumn (September–October) offer best weather; summer roads to Kazbegi can be congested
