Things to Do in Udawalawa

Udawalawa National Park is home to the largest elephant population in Sri Lanka, with over 600 wild elephants roaming the 30,821-hectare reserve.

The park was established in 1972 specifically to protect wildlife displaced by the construction of the Udawalawa Dam across the Walawe River.
