About this activity

Explore Cambodia's most iconic temples across two immersive days, from the grandeur of Angkor Wat and the jungle-reclaimed Ta Prohm to the remote Beng Mealea and a traditional floating village. This comprehensive tour combines UNESCO World Heritage sites with authentic local culture, offering both spiritual heritage and everyday village life in one seamless journey.

Day 1
We are going to visit Angkor Wat temple. Then Angkor Thom is a walled city that was built in the late 12th century by King Jayavarman VII. Next the Bayon Temple is known for its 216 smiling faces of Avalokiteshvara, the bodhisattva of compassion.

After that the Terrace of the Elephants is a long platform that was used for royal ceremonies. It is located in Angkor Thom, and it is decorated with bas-reliefs of elephants.

The last Ta Prohm is a temple that has been reclaimed by the jungle. It is known for its overgrown trees and roots, which have intertwined with the ruins of the temple.

Day 2
We are going to visit Banteay Srei Temple, Beng Mealea temple and the last is Kompong Phluk Village.

Highlights

Insider tips

  • Start before dawn on Day 1 to secure prime sunrise positions at Angkor Wat and beat crowds at major temples
  • Wear sturdy walking shoes and bring a torch (headlamp) for Beng Mealea's unrestored passages and root-entangled corridors
  • Stay hydrated; bring at least 2 litres of water per person — shade is limited at temple sites, especially midday
  • Hire a local guide at Kampong Phluk to learn authentic fishing and farming practices directly from villagers

Good to know

  • Angkor archaeological park requires a separate ticket (typically 1–3 days); confirm if included in tour price
  • Most temples involve moderate-to-steep climbing and uneven stone steps; not wheelchair accessible
  • Hotels typically offer morning pickup around 5:00–5:30 AM; confirm exact time and location upon booking
  • Lightweight, breathable, respectful clothing recommended (covered shoulders and knees at temple entrances)
