About this activity

Combine three iconic Riviera Maya experiences in one full day: explore clifftop Mayan ruins at Tulum and jungle-set Cobá, swim in a pristine cenote complete with traditional ceremony, then shop and dine in Playa del Carmen. A comprehensive cultural and natural immersion with hotel pickup and lunch included.

The tour begins with a visit to Tulum, an archaeological site characterized by the great beauty of its views and the majesty of its Mayan temples. There, your guide will take you on a tour with interesting information about the Mayan culture.

After the visit to Tulum, we will go to Muyil, an archaeological site nestled in the bowels of the jungle. Your guide will give you an explained tour of each of the temples and at the end you will be able to understand the mysticism of the wonderful Mayan culture.

At the end of the visit to Coba, we will embark on our way to a magnificent cenote surrounded by nature with fresh and transparent waters that invite you to swim in addition to witnessing a Mayan ceremony.

We close the tour with a flourish with a visit to the letters of Tulum to take the best photographs as souvenirs and then head to Playa del Carmen where you can walk along its main street called Fifth Avenue so you can buy souvenirs in its picturesque stores.

At the end of the visit to Playa del Carmen, we will return to Cancun.

Insider tips

  • Arrive at Tulum early in the tour to beat midday crowds and heat; the clifftop sunset views are stunning but the site gets busy by noon.
  • Wear water shoes or sandals to the cenote—rocky entries are common and the limestone can be sharp.
  • Bring cash (USD or MXN) for souvenirs and vendors; many small shops on Fifth Avenue don't accept cards reliably.
  • The Tulum letters photo spot draws crowds; go early or during the guide's free time rather than the main gathering moment.

Good to know

  • Bring swimwear, towel, sunscreen, and a light change of clothes; cenote water is refreshing but not warm.
  • 14-hour tour includes substantial driving; wear comfortable clothes and bring water to stay hydrated.
  • Hotel pickup from Cancún area included; confirm your pickup location and time the evening before.
  • Lunch buffet at cenote is provided; dietary restrictions should be mentioned at booking.
  • Archaeology sites involve walking uneven terrain; moderate fitness recommended.
