About this activity

A self-guided escape game that transforms Málaga into your playground—solve puzzles, riddles, and photo challenges while hunting down a criminal mastermind and recovering stolen formulas. Play entirely on your phone at your own pace, perfect for groups wanting adventure with zero fixed schedules.

Your search for the Syndicate starts on Plaza de la Constitución, at the heart of Málaga, and heads straight into the narrow streets behind it. The route takes you past Plaza del Obispo and the Museo Casa Natal de Picasso before doubling back through the shaded lanes of the centre. It is an outdoor escape room in the open air: no locked doors, just a city full of clues.

Málaga rewards walkers, and this route keeps to the flat old town rather than the hills above it, so families, friends, couples and work groups can all keep up. Two to five players form a team around a single phone, and every one of them plays a character with their own role to fill. When more people want in, the group divides into separate teams. There is no guide involved and no set departure time.

How to play

Four short steps come before the streets of Málaga.

  1. Book the City Game
  2. Check the instructions email
  3. Download the Loquiz app
  4. Start playing whenever you like

The formulas Magnus stole are somewhere ahead of you, and following him means reading the city carefully. Ciphers, logic puzzles and photo tasks steer the team through Plaza de la Judería and out towards Teatro Cervantes, where the roles you divided at the start begin to matter. One player spots the detail, another does the counting, a third talks everyone out of the wrong answer.

With several teams playing at the same time the whole thing becomes a contest, and that competitive edge is what makes it useful for team building. You can stop for lunch, then take the hunt back up where you left it. Málaga carries on around you either way.
