Riga Self-Guided Audio Tour
This educational audio guided tour of the culturally important city of Riga will take you through...

Adventure activities release endorphins, creating lasting positive memories.
Secrets of Riga is a self-guided walking tour that lays a series of puzzles across the old town. You start on Doma laukums, in front of Riga Cathedral, and the route carries on to the House of the Blackheads and St. Peter's Church. Each stop begins with a task and ends with a short explanation of the place.
It suits couples, families, groups of friends and colleagues on a team day. A team of up to four plays from one phone, so larger groups form several teams and compare scores at the end. Solo players follow the same route. There is no guide and no fixed departure, so you can set out early, when the lanes of Riga are still empty.
Four steps put you on the route through the old town.
The tasks alternate riddles, questions and photo challenges that make you look at doorways, gables and stonework you would otherwise pass. Around the Three Brothers, the Swedish Gate and the Powder Tower the game explains what these buildings and defences were for. The information is short and always about what stands in front of you.
Playing with more than one team makes it a contest, with points per task and a leaderboard at the finish, which is why it is used for team outings as well. Nothing is timed, so you can stop for lunch and continue afterwards. It is a practical way to cover the old centre of Riga on foot.
