About this activity

This cultural tours is one of the standout things to do in Casablanca, Morocco. Rated 3.4/5 by 5 travellers, it combines the highlights below into a single, easy-to-book experience from €75 per person. Check off the Moroccan capital’s key sights on this day trip to Rabat from Casablanca. With a driver-guide, you’ll see the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, Hassan Tower and the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of the Udayas.

We will start our private tour with the pick-up at your hotel or riad, after which we will visit the most emblematic places of Rabat.

There are five gates that give access to the city through the wall. The most iconic gate is Er-Ruah, due to its stone facade and its large size. Later, we will access to the city through Bab Esufara, the Ambassadors Gate to Mechuar, that is the most important square of the royal celebrations and where we will see the Royal Palace.

Chellah will be one of the most remembered places after the tour. It´s an absolute oasis, full of peace and calm.

We will visit the Hassan Tower too, the most visited monument of the city, where the Mausoleum of Mohamed V was built, with a great yard and an amazing hypostyle room that includes 19 naves.

The kasbah of the Udayas, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 2012, is also a place that should not be missed along our excursion, located upon a cliff with amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean and with its streets full of flowers, its coloured houses and the Andalusian garden. Here we will find the most important Mosque of Rabat, the Adayas Museum, that has great jewellery collections that show the moroccan craft.

When we will cross the Andalusian wall, we will be in the heart of Rabat, in its ancient medina, where we will find a pleasant atmosphere. We will tour the most active places of the Medina, Suiga and Souk Es Sebat, the craftsmen neighbourhood and where the typical red carpet can be found (The auction for these carpets are celebrated on Tuesday morning in Rbati). Furthermore, we will visit many crafts and textile shops in Consuls Street.

Best time to visit

Casablanca is rewarding year-round, but spring and early autumn typically bring the most comfortable temperatures and thinner crowds than peak summer. Morning departures tend to be quieter and cooler; booking ahead is recommended in high season as popular cultural tours slots in Casablanca sell out.
