About this activity

Escape Barcelona for a curated day in Sitges, a chic Mediterranean coastal town blending bohemian charm with upscale dining and wine culture. This private tour combines guided exploration of the historic old quarter and seafront promenade with a three-course regional lunch and an artisanal wine-and-chocolate pairing experience.

We'll pick you up from your hotel or apartment in Barcelona to go to Sitges to explore what was once a fishing village and today is a fashionable seaside community full of history, architecture, restaurants and boutiques.
Then head to the winery region to enjoy a meal of regional products and finish the day with a wine and chocolate pairing tasting.
Before we embark on our walking tour of Sitges, you will have a short coffee break with views of the Mediterranean Sea.
You will enjoy this coastal town’s promenade and the old quarter.
Your guide will take you to a renowned local restaurant for a three course meal.
After lunch, you will enjoy the unique experience of combining wine and chocolate, you will visit the Tasting Room and do a session of chocolate & wines - tasting wines/cavas (Catalan champagne) and chocolates of different flavors, aromas, textures.
We'll drop you off at your hotel or apartment in Barcelona.

Insider tips

  • Sitges has a thriving LGBTQ+ scene and hosts world-class cultural events; visit during Carnival (February/March) or the Film Festival (October) if timing allows for deeper cultural immersion.
  • The old quarter's narrow streets can be steep and uneven—wear comfortable walking shoes with good grip.
  • Allow time to browse the independent boutiques along the promenade after the wine tasting; many close by 8 PM.
  • The wine-and-chocolate pairing works best on a palate not dulled by a heavy lunch—pace yourself during the meal.

Good to know

  • 8-hour total duration includes 1.5–2 hours driving (Barcelona–Sitges round-trip); plan accordingly for cruise ship or flight connections.
  • Hotel pickup available from most Barcelona locations; confirm your accommodation address at booking.
  • Walking tour covers moderate distances on sometimes cobbled streets; not suitable for limited mobility without prior notice to operator.
  • Lunch and tastings are included; water and some beverages are typically provided, but bring a personal water bottle for the walking sections.
  • Small group or private option (indicated by 'Private' in title); group size and final pricing may vary.
