About this activity

Explore Croatia's most iconic natural wonder on a full-day private tour of Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site featuring a network of interconnected lakes, cascading waterfalls, and ancient forests. This is an active experience requiring sustained walking—not a leisurely visit—with constant discovery of dramatic geological formations and pristine wilderness.

Plitvice Lakes are a full day tour but be sure that they are the most beautiful thing in Croatia. We have 8 national parks and this is the only one protected by the UNESCO. I always like to point out that it is not a „picnic destination“ – we are not in a single spot, we are constantly walking (at least 6 km) and exploring many small and big waterfalls. After the tour we can make a stop in one of the local restaurants in the area.
Contact us and let’s have a nice day together :)

Highlights

  • 16 interconnected lakes with striking turquoise and emerald waters
  • Multiple viewpoints of dramatic waterfall systems across different elevations
  • UNESCO-protected ecosystem with ancient beech and spruce forests
  • Sustained guided exploration covering approximately 6 km+ of marked trails
  • Optional stop at a local restaurant to sample regional cuisine

Insider tips

  • Wear sturdy, waterproof hiking boots—trails can be muddy and uneven, especially after rain
  • Start early in the day to avoid afternoon crowds and capture the best light for photography
  • Bring layers; weather can change quickly in the forested valleys and microclimates vary significantly between upper and lower lake systems

Good to know

  • This is a walking-intensive tour (6+ km minimum); comfortable athletic footwear and moderate fitness required
  • Park entrance fees typically included in the quoted price; confirm with supplier
  • 10-hour total duration includes driving time to/from your location plus exploration time
  • Private tour means customizable pace and stops—discuss fitness level and interests with your guide beforehand
