Private Cruise from Makris Gialos to Koufonisi in Crete

Our ship ARISTOVOULOS, shall depart from the small, wind-protected port of Makris Gialos in Ierapetra to Koufonisi island. Makris Gialos is a lovely seaside village, 38 kilometers south of Siteia, and 25 kilometers east of Ierapetra, in the southeastern part of the prefecture of Lasithi.

The island of Koufonisi is Wildlife Refuge. Koufonisi island is a habitat of stunning natural beauty, included in the European initiative NATURA 2000. Due to the preservation of its natural environment, there are no roads on the island, which can be difficult for people with mobility problems.

Our excursions depart daily from May to September. Departure at 11.00 and return at 17.15.

Attention: For some days we can not disembark the passengers by boat on the island. During this time, our ship will approach the shore at a short distance, to facilitate the access of passengers who want to reach the island by swimming.
