Our guide will tell you about the curious symbols on the Astronomical clock, and you will learn about the life of the man from the big monument on Old Town Square – the Czechs’ beloved Jan Hus! 

You will see places of import for the development of culture and education in Central Europe as you are guided by the Carolinum, Estates Theatre, birth home of Franz Kafka, and various churches. And, we welcome you to feel the centuries-old vibes from strong tradition found in the Jewish Ghetto.

Start of the tour.

Your tour starts at 11:00 am after meeting your guide at Prague Trips & Tickets. Please note: This tour does not include hotel pick up and drop off service. This means that you will have to arrange your own transfers to reach the designated meeting point and start the tour. 

Stop at: Church of Our Lady before Tyn.

A brief introduction into the Czech history.

Stop at: Stone Bell House.

One of the most important Gothic buildings in Prague - exterior view. Presumably, Charles IV. - the biggest Czech ruler - was born here.

Stop at: Jan Hus Monument.

One of the most famous Czech monuments and brief history of Jan Hus - Czech Martin Luther - who was reforming the Catholic Church which led to his execution in the end.

Stop at: Old Town Hall with Astronomical Clock

Hear the history of the famous Astronomical Clock - a medieval miracle, and a fascinating game of three-time measurement systems being shown at once. Moreover showing the position of stars, Moon, and Sun.

Stop at: Karolinum & Charles University

Admire the exterior of the historical building of the 1st university in Central Europe.

Stop at: The Estates Theatre.

See the beautiful theater and hear something about its history - Mozart´s Don Giovanni was premiered here.

Stop at: House of the Black Madonna.

The only pure cubistic building in Prague. The flagship of cubism - architectural style found only in the Czech lands.

Stop at: Church of St. James.

Founded in the Gothic style, burnt out and rebuilt in the baroque style. Amazing interiors and a hand hung up from the ceiling on the right side of the main entrance reflecting the famous Prague legend.

Stop at: Ungelt Square.

Unique medieval courtyard hidden in the center of Prague and a former place, where merchants from foreign countries paid customs for the goods they brought to Prague .

Stop at: Maisel Synagogue.

Enjoy exterior view of the neo-gothic synagogue. Learn the most important facts from fascinating Jewish history in the Czech lands.

Stop at: Pinkas Synagogue

The Pinkas Synagogue is the second oldest preserved synagogue in Prague which was turned into a memorial to the nearly 80,000 Jewish victims of the Shoah from the Czech lands.

Stop at: Old Jewish Cemetary

Be surprised by the jewel of Prague´s Jewish history - the Jewish Cemetary with its layers and gravestones.

Stop at: Klausen Synagogue, Burial Society

Klausen Synagofue is nowadays the largest synagogue in the former Prague Jewish ghetto. Hear about Jewish customs and burial ceremonies.

Stop at: The Old-New Synagogue.

One of the first gothic buildings in Prague. Hear the history of the oldest surviving medieval synagogue of twin-nave design and enjoy it's amazing exterior. Allegedly built from stones from Solomon Temple in Jerusalem.

Stop at: Spanish Synagogue, Jewish Museum in Prague.

The history and exterior view of the most recent synagogue in the Prague Jewish Town with its impressive Moorish interior design, influenced by the famous Alhambra.

Stop at: Franz Kafka.
