Picking wild berries and making your own jam

This local culture has been kept since the time of the Vikings. Due to the lack of land for plantation, the Vikings and residence on Iceland have been using these wild berries as their source of vitamins and nutrients. In this tour, you will get to experience first hand this traditional culture. We will first take a short drive to find the wild berries. These wild berries can only be found in the wild as they cannot be farmed. They grow on moss that can only be found on volcanic rocks. You will have plenty of time to gather the berries. You can gather as much as you like. We will then head back to the starting point to prepare the berries to make jam. You will have hands-on to make the jam from start to end. You can customise the taste of the jam to your liking. After bottling the jam, they are yours to keep and enjoy.
