1 / 10Pattaya by Day & Pattaya by Night
About this activity
Experience Pattaya's transformation from quiet coastal town to vibrant resort city in a single 10-hour day trip from Bangkok. This dual-perspective tour captures the destination's daytime leisure appeal—beachfront relaxation and panoramic viewpoints—and its energetic evening scene, all without the early morning rush.
The city of Pattaya lies about 100kms. southeast of Bangkok. It was a relatively unknown sleepy fishing village. That was until about 1959 when American servicemen started going to Pattaya to spend their week's R & R period there. A lot has changed since those days, and Pattaya is now a resort city of more than one million people.
Enjoy a bit of a sleep in and time for a relaxing breakfast, because this tour doesn't begin until about 10.00am when you're collected from your centrally located Bangkok hotel.
Travel by comfortable air-conditioned minivan down to Pattaya with your first stop being at Phra Tamnak Hill. Phra Tamnak Hill is home to a big Buddha image and has the best views of Pattaya City. In fact, Khao Pattaya Viewpoint on Phra Tamnak Hill has the best viewpoint in the entire region and is the place to visit day or night.
By 2.30pm you will have arrived down at Pattaya Beach, where you can enjoy free time as you please. You can relax on the beach, partake in beach activities, or pop across Beach Road for a wander along the street.
This is a lovely place to be at sunset also! At about 6.30pm you will be witnessing another side of Pattaya begin to appear. Take a stroll along Walking Street, the epicentre of Pattaya's nightlife, and see nightclubs, beer bars, discotheques, Go-Go bars, sports bars, live music venues and more spring to life. There is an enormous range of excellent, and inexpensive, restaurants here too, with cuisines ranging from seafood, Indian, Western, Italian, Thai and many more.
You will be collected at Bali Hai Pier at about 8.30pm for the drive back to your Bangkok hotel.
