The Shikoku-Mura museum

It is an open-air museum at the base of Mount Yashima which resides up to 30 traditional buildings, structures and goods from all over the Shikoku Island. What makes this place interesting is that al the structure had been relocated to this area from all over the Shikoku Island. The buildings you will see at this place are all original, so you will be able to go inside and feel the same building that the people hundreds of years ago were living. There are many to discover within this 50,000 square meter area. Probably most interesting of them all is a sugar mill that dates back from the Edo-period. When sugar making became popular in the Sanuki region (present-day Kagawa Prefecture), where here you will be able to see one of the only two remaining sugarcane presses in Shikoku from that era.

Ritsurin Koen

A beautiful garden that some say tops The Three Great Garden of Japan Ritsurin Koen. This garden has a long history as it was built by a feudal lord. Though it was taken over by a different feudal lord, Matsudaira Yoritaka, this garden took over a century to finish. Once finished it wasn't opened to the public for another century but was used as a private of the Matsudaira family, where they would invite other lords for tea and hunting. In 1953 this garden was designated as a Special Place of Scenic Beauty. With this tour you will be able to enter a private Japanese style room in Ritsurin park, you will be able to spend a relaxing time while overlooking the entire garden, feeling like once the feudal lords felt. Even more, you will also be able to ride a Japanese boat around the garden, making this a wonderful experience for you.
