Niagara Falls Half Day Tour

City BreaksBus & Minivan Tours

About this activity

A streamlined 4.5-hour excursion from Toronto to Niagara Falls with 2.5–3 hours of independent exploration at the falls. Ideal for travellers with afternoon commitments in Toronto, this half-day option skips winery stops and focuses on maximising time at one of North America's most iconic natural attractions.

This is a simple Half Day tour of the Falls.  The tour starts after your hotel pickup between 8:00 am to 8: 55 am . The tour bus will take you directly to Niagara Falls where you will spend 2.5- 3 hours enjoying the beautiful views. At the 2 pm mark, the rest of the tour group will continue the tour. You will skip the winery visit, and Niagara-on-the-Lake portions of the regular tour, and go directly back to Toronto with one of our King Limo vehicles.

In Niagara Falls, you will have 2-3 hours of free time. This gives you plenty of time to add in additional activities you want to do, plus stop for lunch, which is on your own time and budget. This particular tour does not include the Hornblower Boat ride but you can purchase it in Niagara Falls.

This is a perfect tour if you have plans in Toronto late in the afternoon or evening.

Highlights

  • Hotel pickup and drop-off from central Toronto
  • 2.5–3 hours of self-guided time at Niagara Falls to explore at your own pace
  • Option to book the Hornblower Boat Tour independently on-site
  • Direct route back to Toronto by early afternoon
  • Flexible schedule for lunch and additional activities

Insider tips

  • Book the Hornblower Boat experience in advance on-site to avoid queues during peak hours
  • Pack comfortable walking shoes and a light jacket—the mist from the falls can soak you, especially in warmer months
  • Bring a camera with good zoom; viewpoints along the Canadian side offer the best angles without needing paid attractions
  • Plan lunch before 1 pm to avoid crowds; casual restaurants near Table Rock offer quick service

Good to know

  • Hotel pickup window is 8:00–8:55 am; confirm your hotel address and contact details with the operator one day prior
  • Return to Toronto by approximately 2 pm; verify drop-off time matches your evening plans
  • Hornblower Boat Tour (additional cost, not included) typically takes 30 minutes—factor this into your free time
  • Lunch and any paid attractions are at your own expense; the 2.5–3 hour window allows time for both sightseeing and eating
