Will I definitely see whales?

Whale sightings are common during peak season (November–April), but not guaranteed. Dolphins are frequently spotted as well. Conditions, migration patterns, and ocean activity all affect sightings.

Yes, breakfast is served onboard during the whale-watching portion of the tour. Lunch is also included at a local Mirissa restaurant recommended by your guide.

How long is the boat ride and what's the boat like?

The boat is relatively large and stable, designed for whale watching. You'll depart at 6:30 am and return to Mirissa harbour around noon, spending the main window of time on the water searching for whales.

Bring sun protection (SPF 50+, hat, sunglasses), a waterproof jacket or windbreaker, motion sickness medication if needed, and a camera. Layers are recommended as mornings can be cool.
