Hot Spring Snorkeling & ATV combo

This tour offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to observe how the power of the Earth has shaped Iceland through the centuries!

We will meet your at Seltún - Krísuvík and drive you to the unique Lake Kleifarvatn. The drive from Reykjavik is only 30 minutes, but you will feel like you have landed on another planet. The black sand beach where you will gear up for your snorkeling tour is a great feature itself, but it is nothing compared to the scenery you will find once you look under the surface of the lake.

At first you will see the white and yellow sulfur deposits and the beautiful designs they draw on the bottom of the lake. As we swim farther from the shore, the environment will start changing around us. That's when you will see (and feel!) the gas bubbles emanating from the lake's floor. Now you will be swimming in an actual caldera, something you can only do in Iceland! The feeling has often been described as "swimming in a glass of champagne".

After the snorkeling tour, you will get out of your gear and enjoy some light refreshments on the shore of the lake.

At this point we will make our way to the Seltún geothermal area, where we will walk among the boiling mud pots and observe the mesmerizing geothermal activity that characterizes the area.

After your visit of the Seltún area, you will make your way to our trusted partners for your ATV tour. The drive takes your through historic lava fields, the old harbour area of Hópsnes and its shripwrecks and old town foundations.

Immediately after this you will get to a more scenic and slightly more adventurous mountain track toward the peak of Mount Hagafell. The peak offers a spectacular 360° view over the blue Lagoon, the Svartsengi volcanic crater formations, Mount Fagradalsfjall, Eldey island and more!

At the end of the ATV drive you have an option to end your day with a relaxing visit at the Blue Lagoon (entrance fee not included). as the ATV tour is located about 5 minutes from the Blue Lagoon.
