Excursion to Imbros Gorge & Frangokastelo from Heraklion & Surrounding Areas
Let’s escape to the wild nature and to the most mesmerizing places of Crete!

Walking tours cover on average 3-5 km and are the best way to discover hidden gems.
Eleftherias Square in Heraklion is where the first clue is waiting, a short walk from the Archaeological Museum. From there the route runs into the old town, past the Morosini Fountain and the church of Agios Titos, and out to the Rocca a Mare fortress at the harbour mouth. It is a self-guided murder mystery game rather than a guided walk.
The centre is compact and mostly flat, with pedestrian streets doing much of the work, so families with children manage it as easily as groups of friends, couples or colleagues. A team is up to four people on one phone; larger groups take extra tickets and split up. Playing alone works. There is no guide, and no start time you have to meet.
Getting a team started in Heraklion takes four steps.
The case is the murder of Balthasar. Codes have to be cracked, photo tasks completed on the spot, and the statements of digital characters set against each other until one of them gives. The trail runs along the Venetian Walls and past the Cathedral of Agios Minas, and each puzzle solved crosses off a suspect.
More than one team turns the afternoon into a race between them, which is what makes it a practical teambuilding activity. Break for something to eat, come back to it, and finish the case in Heraklion.
