The case starts at the Heiliggeistkirche in Heidelberg, on the long market square in the middle of the old town. From there the route leads to the Kornmarkt and out onto the Alte Brücke, then back into the lanes on the other side. It is a self-guided detective game, and the old town of Heidelberg is where it happens.
Heidelberg's centre is long and narrow and mostly level, but the route does take you uphill at one point, so expect a climb. Groups of friends, families with children, couples and colleagues all handle it, and single players are welcome.
