Best time to visit

Visit in spring (April–May) or autumn (September–October) for mild temperatures and clearer skies ideal for photography. Summer heat intensifies the climb to monasteries; winter roads to Meteora can be icy. Morning visits to Meteora (before 10:00 AM) offer the best light and fewer tour groups.
