GRAND WEST - Látrabjarg, Rauðasandur & more
The unique excursion tour with a local guide to Westfjords' top two nature attractions and most amazing natural...
Iceland runs almost entirely on renewable energy — geothermal and hydroelectric.

From Tálknafjörður we will cycle to Sveinseyri, with its own world of magnificent bird life and white sandy beaches. We will visit Sellátrar, old abandoned and very remote farm, now used as a summer cabin. Though it has always been the opinion of experts that trees are not able to grow in this area, you actually find the western-most grove in Europe at Arnarstapi, settled in a stunning landscape. On the shore below are some remains of fishermens' huts, since until 1930 this was a popular place for fishermen to row out. It is said that Arnarstapi is an energy center where you can recharge all your energy levels. The hot spring pool Pollurinn is located in the hillside just outside the village of Tálknafjörður. It is a great way to relax after the bicycle tour, like local fishermen have done for centuries after a long hardworking day, and admire the extraordinary view across the fjord. On this tour you get intimate encounter with incredible nature and great bird life. The tour is especially recommended for nature lovers and photographers. Transportation between Patreksfjörður and Tálknafjörður included in time schedule and prices. The sheer biking is approx. 4-5 hours.
