1 / 6Figari Self-Guided Detective Murder Mystery Game
About this activity
Solve a Sherlock Holmes-inspired murder mystery while exploring Figari on foot in this self-guided detective game. You'll work through puzzles and clues at your own pace using the Loquiz app, turning the city streets into your crime-solving playground.
Figari is a small place, and this case uses most of it. The game starts at the address of the Gendarmerie Nationale, Brigade Motorisée, and works outwards from there through the village on foot. It is a self-guided murder mystery game, so nothing is staged and nobody is waiting for you, only Figari, the road ahead and the phone in your hand. The distances are short and the trail stays inside the village.
Because the village is quiet and the ground is easy, this is a straightforward outing for families with children, for a couple of friends or for colleagues taking an afternoon off, and it can be played alone without any difficulty. A team is up to four people sharing one phone; a larger group buys another ticket and plays as two teams, which is more fun anyway when the lanes are this narrow. There is no guide and no fixed starting time.
How to play
Four steps and you are playing.
- Book the City Game
- Check the instructions email
- Download the Loquiz app
- Start playing whenever you like
The case is the murder of Balthasar. You break codes, complete photo tasks and weigh the statements of digital characters against one another, and in a village the size of Figari the contradictions are hard to hide. A number read off one wall matters two streets later, a photograph settles a detail nobody agreed on, and every correct answer knocks a name off the list until one is left.
If several teams set off at once it turns into a race, which is what makes it work for teambuilding as well as for a family afternoon. Nothing is timed, so you can stop, eat, and take the case up again later, finishing wherever you happen to be standing in Figari.
